Inspired by the natural beauty of the local landscape\, John’s ceramics push the boundaries of traditional forms.    \n\n\n\nOver the decades\, John’s art practice has explored various styles and techniques. He began with porcelain slip casting\, transitioning to creating vessels that blur the line between functionality and art. His work evolved into an almost architectural-like style\, where he cuts and inlays pieces\, always focusing on layering and building up fine porcelain\, colour\, and textures.  \n\n\n\nYou will gain valuable insights into John’s creative journey\, his innovative ceramic techniques\, and the inspiration behind his latest exhibition. This is a rare opportunity to hear firsthand from a master of the craft and be inspired to explore new artistic possibilities.

This ongoing project includes the new components Mutable XLI/I and Mutable XLI/II\, which are site specific to the Mid North Coast\, a landscape of great importance to the artist’s personal history and her current video and sound installations.
