Paint the Colours of Spring
Celebrate the colours of spring with artist Kelly Joy in this fun and expressive painting workshop for young artists aged 6–10 years. Children will explore bright seasonal colours, playful mark making and creative painting techniques as they create their own joyful spring-inspired artwork.

Young makers are invited to explore the tiny world of insects through art, design and hands-on STEAM experimentation. In this creative sculpture workshop, participants will look closely at insect forms, patterns and structures before designing and building their own imaginative insect-inspired mini sculpture. To add an extra glow of discovery, participants will paint their sculptures with UV-reactive pigments and create their own UV torch. They can then use their torch to illuminate hidden colours, watch their creations glow, and explore the science of ultraviolet light through a fun, interactive experiment. All materials provided.

Explore the playful possibilities of surreal photography in this hands-on workshop for young creatives.
Participants will be inspired by the photography exhibitions at YAM and experiment with photography and digital blending techniques using Affinity to create imaginative, dreamlike images. We’ll be using iPads to capture the vibrant Coffs urban centre along with the flora and fauna within it, as the inspiration for our works. All materials provided.
